Pro Tips for Technicians
To get the best results, please keep these technical notes in mind:
- Flashing: You can now use both BROM and Preloader modes for flashing.
- Custom DA: If the default DA doesn't work, manually select your own DA in the "Custom DA" field.
- New Security: If "Force BROM" fails on newer security patches, use the Test Point method instead.
- Test Point Setup: When using a Test Point, remember to select "Preloader" in the PL settings.
- Connection: For a specific Preloader connection, ensure "PRELOADER" is selected in settings to prevent the software from trying to crash the preloader on high-security devices.
How to Update
- Connect your UMT Box or Dongle to your PC.
- Open the UMT Support Access tool.
- Go to the Installer folder and download the UltimateMTK2 v3.1 setup.
- Use UMT Card Manager to update your firmware if required.
- Install and start using the new features!
